WeboFest theme song contest

There’s been talk on the fan forum about Webosaurs throwing a WeboFest party. Well, it’s going
to happen. The last week and a half of October will be WEBOFEST! We’ll be having crazy parties
and special giveaways for the festival. More on that later.
We need a THEME SONG for WeboFest and we’re going to leave it up to you. We want you to
actually write and record your own theme song and submit it to us. We’ll put all of them on the
blog when the time comes, but we will be making ONE of them the official theme song of
WeboFest.
Send all entries in whatever sound format you can to info@webosaurs.com by October 18th.
Feel free to email with any questions you might have. Thanks!
[Update: Just to let you guys know, we're not looking for anything too involved. It can be as
easy and strumming a few chords on the guitar (my fingers are crossed for a Webosaurs rap).
Software like Audacity and Garage Band is free and readily available for Mac and PC users to
record and edit with. Good luck!]

The Battle at Webo Ridge - Registered Teams

Hey everyone! We’re sitting on the eve of THE BATTLE AT WEBO RIDGE. Things are going to
get crazy when these teams get together to compete for the glory of being crowned SNOWBALL
SKIRMISH CHAMPIONS. We’ll be meeting at the Lizard Lounge at 17:00 WST to get this
started. This event will be held in the Triassic server.
Remember, each player can only compete in one round. If your team goes through all thre
rounds it means you are in the finals! Try to figure who will go 1st, 2nd and 3rd before the
tourney starts so we don’t use up too much time. Here are the officially registered teams:
Webo Crushers - Skat, Monster_man, PERcY
Super Snow Dinos- Turtpip, sheildon and beastlybeast
The Rex Socks- Fujiann, Sathvik and Rent
Skirmish Evolution- Sludge, Montrealhabs and Hippo
Lizard Warriors- BenWolf, Nicktar and Gelo
Two horns and a Rexxy- Fruggster, Fireice and Blueknight
PieLovers- Cos, Pepperz and Rollsroyce
Electrical Webos- Wongo, Chrisguy and Pokelord
Remember that even if you aren’t on one of the registered teams it doesn’t mean you won’t get
a chance to play. Often people aren’t able to show up and teams are in need of a player to fill in.
Also, if there are any corrections to the above teams please let us know in the comments. We’ll
see you at the battle!

Surprise!

World Rainforest Week - Game of the Week

Test your knowledge with Rainforest Quizbo, one of a few different quiz games located on the
island. You’ll find Rainforest Quizbo in the Hillside Canopy, where you will be tested on all things
rainforest! We’re making this Game of the Week in tribute to World Rainforest Week.
As rainforests continue to be endangered by human logging practices, many species of plants
and animals are being threatened with extinction as a result. As our earth continues to change,
our impact on the environment also threatens these precious ecosystems even though they
aren’t close to us. The only way to help prevent this from happening is to educate ourselves on
how our decisions affect the world around us. World Rainforest Week is about creating
awareness of what is happening to these areas that are home to many beautiful plants and
animals.
With that in mind, Rainforest Quizbo will be giving out a TON of coins this week. If you get stuck
on an answer, you can always check the Webopedia located in the game! Hope you all have a
wonderful World Rainforest Week!

Daily Dino Fact: The Ichthyosaurs are watching you

Q: What was the dinosaur with the biggest eyes? -Snow
A: Thanks for the question Snow! These guys weren’t technically dinosaurs, but Ichthyosaurs
were among the most dangerous sea reptiles of the Mesozoic era. They looked like dolphins but
were much, much larger (up to 10m/32ft long). The important thing here is that they boast the
largest eyes of any animal of ALL TIME.
The largest eye measurement from an Ichthyosaur comes from Temnodontosaurus burgundiae
(pictured above), measuring 264mm (10in) across. The eye plates you see in the photograph are
actually bones called sclerotic rings. It is believed that these rings helped keep the eyeball into
place.
